Park Min-young, the star of “Marry My Husband,” will headline “Nine to Six,” a Korean office romance that Prime Video will release on Nov. 25. Yook Sung-jae of the K-pop group BtoB and Go Soo co-star in the 12-episode series. The show will reach viewers in more than 240 countries and territories.

The announcement fits into a larger push by the streamer to expand its Asian originals. Prime Video unveiled its 2026 Asian content lineup on Thursday at its inaugural International Originals showcase in London, where Park appeared alongside other talent. The platform says content from Japan, Korea and India has found significant global viewership outside its English-language programming slate.

A Legal Team Where Love Is Not Part of the Plan

Park plays Kang Yi-ji, a senior manager on the legal team at a company called Chronic Motors. Logical and driven, Yi-ji has carved out her place in a workplace dominated by men. She regards love and marriage as little more than a passing chemical impulse.

Her path to law was not entirely her own choice. She once wanted to study astronomy, but her mother pushed her toward the legal profession. That background shapes a character who values order and control, and the story sets out to disrupt both.

Two men upend her orderly routine. The series builds its central tension around how Yi-ji responds to each of them, and whether she can open up without giving up the career she spent years building.

Two Men, Two Very Different Approaches

Yook plays Han Sun-woo, a legal intern who would rather be designing jewelry and who trusts his instincts over logic. When Yi-ji lands in danger, he shields her without a second thought. That moment may change how she sees him.

Go plays Park Hyun-tae, an executive director in Chronic Motors’ Seoul office. He has come back from the company’s European headquarters after climbing the corporate ladder at a young age. Hyun-tae has long believed that romance only complicates life, and Yi-ji’s competence, which earns his respect, puts that belief to the test.

The series sets the younger colleague’s openness against the executive’s grasp of her ambitions. That contrast leaves Yi-ji to work out where her priorities really lie. The setup pairs a workplace drama with a love triangle, built around a heroine who distrusts romance on principle.

The Creative Team Behind the Series

Choi Ji-oh wrote the series. Lee Hyung-min directs alongside Oh Song-hee. Lee’s credits include “Strong Girl Bong-soon,” “Miss Night and Day” and “I’m Sorry, I Love You,” while Oh previously worked on “The Escape of the Seven.”

The cast also brings a deep list of past work. Park’s other credits include “Siren’s Kiss” and “Confidence Queen.” Yook has appeared in “The Haunted Palace,” “The Golden Spoon” and “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.” Go’s work includes “Missing: The Other Side,” “Colony” and “Parole Examiner Lee.”

Joining a Growing Prime Video Korean Lineup

“Nine to Six” joins a Prime Video lineup that already carries several Korean titles. Those include “Love in Disguise,” “A Love Other Than Yours,” “See You at Work Tomorrow!,” “Spring Fever,” “Surely Tomorrow,” “Head Over Heels” and “Good Boy.” The addition keeps the platform’s steady flow of Korean romance and drama going.

Prime Video builds on the performance of earlier hits. “Marry My Husband” and “No Gain No Love” both reached the platform’s global Top 10 based on out-of-country viewership. At the London showcase, the streamer previewed six Korean titles developed with leading studios including CJ ENM, SLL and Coupang Play.

Among the Korean projects, “Human x Gumiho” (working title) is a supernatural romance starring Jun Ji-hyun, who also goes by Gianna Jun, and Ji Chang Wook. The streamer also showed an Indian original film from producer Alia Bhatt. The titles previewed represent only a sampling, and Prime Video plans to announce the full 2026 lineup in the coming months.

Anime and Franchise Revivals Round Out the Showcase

The Asian slate extended well beyond Korean romance. Gaurav Gandhi, VP of APAC and ANZ for Prime Video, presented the select titles from the broader Asia-Pacific slate. Kelly Day, VP of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios International, and Nicole Clemens, VP of International Originals, hosted the presentation.

The headline anime is “The Ghost in the Shell,” a cyberpunk series that explores the intersection of humanity and technology in a hyper-connected 2029 metropolis. It returns in July 2026 as a new anime series from Science SARU, the studio behind Golden Globe nominee “Inu-oh” and the anime television series “Dan Da Dan.” The series will stream exclusively worldwide on Prime Video, excluding Russia and China, and Prime Video holds an early exclusive window in Japan.

The franchise began with Shirow Masamune’s 1989 manga and has since expanded across anime, live-action Hollywood film and video games. A “Fist of the North Star: Hokuto No Ken” reboot from TMS Entertainment marks that franchise’s 40th anniversary. It reimagines the manga series with computer-generated imagery combined with hand-drawn animation.

The showcase also featured Season 2 of “From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman.” Its first season reached Prime Video’s Top 10 in more than 45 territories. Together, the announcements show how heavily the streamer leans on Asian storytelling to reach audiences far beyond the region.
