Dern Dominates on the Ground

Mackenzie Dern’s title defense against Gillian Robertson showcased exactly why she remains one of the most dangerous ground fighters in women’s mixed martial arts. Dern took Robertson to the mat repeatedly throughout the five-round championship bout, controlling position and threatening with submissions. The judges unanimously scored the contest in Dern’s favor, rewarding her relentless grappling pressure and technical superiority.
