Police in Manchester have caught a motorist who was racing a courtesy Porsche car at speeds of more than 140mph. The driver of the dark, blue luxury car was spotted racing a BMW by Merseyside Police in the village of Sefton, outside Liverpool, Greater Manchester Police tweeted. It was later identified by automatic number plate recognition technology and stopped in Salford, traffic officers said. The porsche was being used as a courtesy car, the force said. The company that provided the car requested that police take it off the driver after being notified about the incident. “Driver reported to court,” police added.
